Servant Leadership and Employee Engagement: A Qualitative Study

Servant Leadership is a holistic approach whereby leaders act with morality, showing great concern for the company’s stakeholders and engaging followers in multiple dimensions, such as emotional, relational ethical, to bring out their full potential empower them grow into what they are capable of becoming. leadership has been linked through various mediators positive individual collective outcomes, including behavioral, attitudinal, performance. Among follower attitudinal present study aims at deepening relationship between servant employee engagement large Italian consulting firm; first, by assessing implementation survey based on SL-7; second, qualitatively investigating experiences lived junior employees influence though semi-structured questionnaire. The findings suggest that positively influenced mediators, either leader-centered, empowerment, team-centered, team cohesion, organization-centered, organizational climate, job-centered, challenging tasks, employee-centered, proactive personality. Some factors also emerged hinder engagement, particularly those related working environment: namely, high pressure, poor work-life balance remote-working. article provides theoretical practical implications identifies areas future research leadership.
